Hit the start button and Digital Crown for at the same time. Hold them down for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

This will force restart an Apple Watch. Rebooting it will turn the screen back on in most cases.

Wrist Raise Function Doesn’t Work

No iPhone Connection

Your Apple Watch is supposed to pair with your iPhone seamlessly. You can control it from your iPhone, send messages from the watch, use Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities, and more. If this doesn’t happen, make sure that you’ve enabled both your Bluetooth and your WiFi. These capabilities are what allow you to pair the devices, so the watch won’t work right if they’re toggled off. You can check the status of these capabilities in the Control Center.

Your watch also needs to be in Pairing Mode. If you’re seeing a watch face on the Apple Watch, you’re in the clear.

If your watch is paired but still isn’t connecting, try turning airplane mode on and off. This soft network reset might make it work. If not, restart both the watch and the iPhone and make sure they’re paired again.

No LTE Connection

LTE-enabled Apple Watches connect to the same data network that your iPhone uses. This capability is what lets you use the watch while offline. Without LTE, you would need to connect to a WiFi network to use your watch for communications and applications.

Check to see that the Cellular button on your technology is green. If the button itself is green, you do have a connection even if it’s not working. The green button indicates a connection while the dots above it in the Control Center show the strength of the signal.

In other words, you may have a connection with a poor signal. There’s not much you can do about that until you go to a new location. It’s not a problem with your Apple Watch and will correct itself.

If you can’t find an LTE connection, this is usually a pretty simple fix. It usually just means that you accidentally toggled Airplane Mode on the watch. This fix only takes a couple of seconds because you only need to disable it.

You Can’t See Notifications

Apple Watches give you notifications that you can interact with from your wrist. In fact, this is the main appeal of this highly portable technology. It’s a huge bummer, then, when notifications stop coming.

First, check to make sure that Do Not Disturb is off. If it’s on, toggle it off and you should start getting notifications.

If this doesn’t work, it’s probably an issue with your watch-to-iPhone connection. The notifications are sent to your iPhone first. The iPhone puts them onto your wrist via the Bluetooth connection between the two devices.

Disconnect and reconnect your Apple Watch and iPhone. Then restart the watch itself. They should reconnect automatically so you can get notifications again.

Messages Remain Unread

Apple Watches are great communication tools because you can send and receive messages without ever pulling your phone out.
